Vivek Prasad 

Welcome to my personal website. 

 

I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the School of Economics & Finance at the University of St Andrews. I joined the School in September 2016, and I teach undergraduates and postgraduates, supervise postgraduate dissertations, and contribute to the administration of the School.

My research interests are in the field of macroeconomics. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the effects of macroeconomic policy in the presence of financial frictions. I explore my interests by calibrating dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models with financial frictions and then performing policy simulations. 

 

Previously, I was a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Southampton. I obtained my PhD in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
